Artist Mireille Kassar in Conversation with Curator Shaheen Merali

For the finissage of the exhibition, The Recital of the Western Exile, the artist, Mireille Kassar, will discuss the political relevance of her two films and a wider practice that revalues her own expectations, with London based curator and writer, Shaheen Merali. The session will give further insight into how Paris / Beirut based Mireille Kassar constructs meaning, using the latency of images and sounds, fogs and shapes of “the ghosts of one's own expectations”.
